Your data
CycleCheck has no accounts and no server for your tests. Here is what is stored, where, and what the site counts.
Your tests stay in your browser
Tests, ammonia doses and your answers about the tank are saved in this browser’s storage on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and no one but you can see them.
If you clear the browser’s data or switch devices, the log is gone. Save a backup file on the tank settings page now and then: it is a small file on your device, and you can load it back here or on another device.
Visit statistics
To see how people use CycleCheck and what to improve, the site counts visits with Yandex Metrica. It records which pages are opened and where on a page people click, the type of device and browser, the approximate region and how visitors found the site. Metrica uses cookies for this.
It also counts a few actions, without any values in them:
- a test saved
- ammonia marked as added
- a new stage reached (only the stage’s name)
- the cycle completed
- the calculator opened, and a dose worked out in it
- a backup file saved or loaded
- the language switched
The numbers you enter — test results, pH, temperature, volume, doses — are never sent. Session recording (Webvisor) is off.
You can block the statistics in your browser’s privacy settings or with a content blocker: CycleCheck works the same without it. How Yandex handles the data is in its privacy policy at yandex.ru/legal/confidential.
